Home organizing ideas from Amazon for small spaces

Confession time:  I wasn’t always the best at creating organized spaces, but cleaning was always my jam.  I used to own a junk drawer; my storage bins used to have a ton of stuff inside that wasn’t even related to each other.  My desk was a tangled mess of sticky notes.  But through the years, I embarked on a mission to tame the chaos gradually.

And I found many things throughout the years to help me.  Turns out the internet retail giant Amazon isn’t just for impulse buys and last-minute gifts.  It’s also a treasure trove of clever organizing solutions waiting to be discovered. But these are my favorite organizing products I bought from Amazon that are perfect for people who have no storage space

Under-Sink Savvy: My under-the-sink bathroom supplies used to live in a dark, damp purgatory under the sink. Now, they reside in the double-decker Under Sink Organizer. These double-sliding drawers are a game-changer! They maximize space, keep everything upright, and even have hooks for hanging whatever your heart desires.

Pantry Perfection: Gone are the days of rummaging through empty boxes, thinking you had a bar left to eat only to be disappointed.  I love these mini drawers. They let you stack your bars, and you can see when you are low.  They also can be used all around the home.  Technically, they are called makeup organizers.

Office Paper Detox: My productivity skyrocketed when I created a paper sorting system with these magazine file folders. They have several colors, but I also use a similar version from Ikea for my kid’s coloring and activity books.  The Amazon ones are sturdier, though.

Organizing Bins to Get Your Fridge in Order:  These stackable fridge organizers have helped get more space out of my side-by fridge.  Plus, they are easy to clean and see everything inside.  They also come in fun colors too.

Under-bed Magic/Multipurpose Tray with Lid: We needed to organize small toys and miscellaneous things.  I bought these bins to organize toys but also because they fit perfectly inside an Ikea cube system. And underneath my low-profile master bed.

Super Magnetic Spice Rack for Refrigerator: With a lack of storage space inside our park model lake house, I needed a way to store our spices and something easy to grab.  These super magnetic spike racks are the best.  They vary in width sizes, too.

Hanging anywhere wall baskets: I bought two sets of these. I have them in my garage in one home and inside my kitchen at my lake house.  I use them for fruit storage at the lake house and inside the garage to clean rags, tape, and other items.

Vertical Victories: Maximize your storage with over-the-door organizers. There’s an option for every need, from shoe pockets to vacuum accessories. I love these with clear-view compartments, keeping everything visible and accessible.

Compartmentalized Champions: Drawers can become chaotic abysses, but not with drawer dividers. I swear by these adjustable dividers. They transform jumbled messes into neatly categorized havens.

Folding Fantasies: Furniture that pulls double duty is key in tiny spaces. I love collapsible storage ottomans. They provide extra seating when needed but fold flat for storage when not. Some even have hidden compartments for stashing blankets or throws.  I use these inside our small lake house.

Cord Calm: I literally was going insane trying to keep track of all our cords inside the home and the electronics my kids had.  I needed a labeling process.  I got these velcro hook and loop tags to label charger cords to tame the mess.

Then, I used Dollar Tree bins to help store them.

Mudroom/laundry room behind the door secret organization: Our home has a small laundry room/mudroom, and I needed a place to put my broom and mops away.

I created a mini-cleaning storage area behind the door, which is out of sight.  I utilized the wall and found this wall hanger slim enough to hide my broom and mop behind the door without compromising the

Small kitchen drawer lifesavers: when I was setting up our lake home kitchen, I realized the drawers were very narrow and needed something that could actually organize my knives and cutlery.  With no room on my counter for a knife block, I found the Joseph Joseph DrawerStore on Amazon, which had two items that were perfect.  They also had the perfect color combo.

The Joseph Joseph DrawerStore Compact Cutlery Organizer and the Joseph Joseph DrawerStore Knife Organizer.

These are just a few of the amazing organizing products I’ve found on Amazon. The key is to identify your specific pain points and search for solutions that fit your needs and budget. Trust me, with a little Amazon sleuthing, you can transform your home from chaotic to chic in no time.

Bonus Tip: Labeling is your friend! Clear labels on bins, shelves, and drawers make it easy to find what you need and maintain the organized chaos. Trust me, labeling is the difference between a storage system that sings and one that screams.

I love two different kinds of label machines, especially because I don’t own a cool circuit, but love the look of the labels.
